The tradition
There's been a long tradition of using names to create tunes. Many composers honoured the name of the great composer JS Bach by writing music based on the notes represented by the letters BACH.
At Dance of Delight our other inspiration was the Irish harper O'Carolan, who spent his whole life touring Ireland writing and performing pieces in exchange for food and lodging.
Dance of Delight Nametunes are a natural combination of these two ideas - music based on the name of someone special, arranged and played on a celtic harp
